graph Technical Info

The MagPulse provides a pulsed (time varying), gradient (spatially varying) magnetic field. At the peak of its pulse the maximum field strength on the surface of the Magpulse unit is approximately 10 kilogauss (one tesla). The graph below shows how the maximum field strength varies as a function of distance from the surface of the MagPulse.

The strength varies from 10 kilogauss to 35 gauss from the surface of the MagPulse to a position 8 inches away. The rise time of the field is approximately 4 milliseconds. The electric induction field produced varies from tenths to thousandths of a millivolt per micron (many cells in the body measure from 3 to 10 microns or so in diameter). Although no direct measurements have been made, it is believed that the pulsed magnetic field stimulates blood flow and cellular respiration in the area where it is applied.
